Zilla Auto Repair diagnosed a 2011 Mercedes-Benz GL450 with an ABS warning light and transmission stuck in one gear, tracing the issue to a failed input shaft speed sensor.
This 2011 Mercedes-Benz GL450 came into Zilla Auto Repair Shop with the ABS light on and a transmission shifting concern. The customer reported that the vehicle was stuck in one gear and would not shift properly during normal driving.
Our team performed a full diagnostic scan and inspected the transmission control system to identify the source of the problem. After reviewing the fault codes and testing the related components, we confirmed that the input shaft speed sensor had failed. A bad speed sensor can prevent the transmission control module from reading vehicle and transmission speed correctly, which may cause the transmission to stay in limp mode or remain stuck in one gear.
